Implants
Whether you have only one missing tooth, have a partial or full denture, you may want to take a look at dental implants. Implants offer a smile that looks and feels very natural. Dental implants are intended for use in either the upper and/or lower jaw to support prosthetic devises and enable restorations that range from replacement of one single tooth to an entire arch of bridgework. Implants offer stability because they fuse to your bone. They create a secure fit that is more comfortable than conventional substitutes.
Mini Dental Implants (MDI) can be placed for the stabilization of dentures and are ideal where space is inadequate for conventional implants. Placement of mini implants is accomplished quickly and easily in a process performed in our office. The procedure generally takes 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Candidates for dental implants need to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant. A thorough evaluation by Dr. Shaw will determine whether you are a good candidate for dental implants.
